Spring recital is a fully staged concert scheduled for:
- Saturday, June 3, 2017, 7:00 pm and
- Sunday, June 4, 2017, 2:00 pm
Recital will take place at the Hales Center for the Performing Arts on the SWOCC Campus, 1988 Newmark, Coos Bay.
Participation in the annual recital is not mandatory, but if you choose to participate there are fees required. Costume fees must be paid by December 1, in order to perform in recital. If students have any outstanding charges, costumes will not be handed out until accounts are current. The costumes purchased are for students to keep.
Ticket Prices & Information
The Spring Concert is our biggest fundraising event of the year so no comps are available. Ticket prices are $10 each and, beginning May 1, will be sold at the dance school, the Boys & Girls Club, Checkerberry’s or at the door.
The auditorium lobby will have a flower concession, recital programs, information about the school, summer schedules, picture schedule and order forms, recital DVD sign-up, etc. during recital weekend.
Students participating in recital must be in all dress/tech rehearsals scheduled for their performance(s). No exceptions. Dress rehearsals will take place
- Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017
- Thursday afternoon, June 1, 2017
- Friday June 2, 2017.
More specific rehearsal times for each class will be posted at the dance school prior to the rehearsal days.
These non-refundable fees are due by December 1, and are charged as follows:
• All Preparatory Levels 1, 2, 3 and Pre-Ballet $55 per costume
• All Levels Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap $65 per costume
• Extra Large and above child and adult add $10 per costume
Preparatory level students sit in the front row until their performance time. When the performance is finished they will be escorted back to their seats to watch the remainder of the show. Parents can pick them up at the completion of the show. The program runs without intermissions. No student is allowed to leave until the program is completed.
